Danby Beacon, an historic reference point for tourists and walkers, is visible from the end of our road - just! With visitors coming over the next few weeks I thought would be a good idea to explore a couple of longer walks that we can do without having to get in the car so on a very cold blustery day we set out to reach the Beacon, a mere 3 miles away.
It wasn't one of the most pleasurable walks we've experienced, due to the biting wind, but we've done it, and will no doubt do it again. Visitors be warned!!
