Food Heaven

I think March is one of my favourite months.

On the second Saturday of the month there is a farmers market in Malton, the food capital of Yorkshire.  Our youngest son was home for a few days so the three of us headed out to investigate.  Malton is small but, you could say, perfectly formed!  Full of independent shops and restaurants, with the added attraction of the market, it didn't disappoint.  Amongst the stalls we discovered a number of local suppliers: a coffee company (Baytown) - potentially a supplier for the B&B,  a butcher whose details I can't remember but whose products I can - sausages, a pork joint and free-range eggs, and a gin distillery (Sloemotion) - a large bottle just happened to fall into my shopping bag 🤣.

Our visit concluded with a late lunch in an independent pizza restaurant (La Pizzeria).  What's not to like?!
