Boxes, boxes and yet more boxes!

Today is the day we move in properly 😀  (once the removal men left yesterday we returned to York to spend a last night with Mum rather than sleep amongst the boxes).

We've started unpacking, focussing on the kitchen, sitting room and our bedroom so that the main rooms are habitable.

At lunchtime we ventured down into the village (Lealholm) for a bite to eat in Shepherds Hall Tearoom - fantastic food and service so we'll definitely be recommending it to visitors!

We also took a drive out in search of a butcher and returned victorious.  Slow-roast lamb shanks: our first full Aga meal - scrumptious!
