It's Christmas!!

Well, after weeks of preparation and anticipation Christmas is finally here.

We played host to our sons, my Mum and my youngest sister and her three teenage daughters - quite a houseful (9 in all) but not as busy as tomorrow will be! Christmas Day followed our traditional schedule - opening of stockings from Father Christmas
then smoked salmon and scrambled eggs for breakfast, with Bucks Fizz of course.
A walk in the fresh air is compulsory for all except the chef if the weather is ok so after breakfast we donned our walking boots and coats and headed out.  We made sure we were back in plenty of time for dinner at 2 o'clock.

We always watch the Queen's Speech on Christmas Day and this year was no exception; then comes the eagerly awaited opening of presents from under the tree.

One of my nieces was given a heated hair wand and I (foolishly) suggested it might be fun to curl my hair. This is how it turned out........  ðŸ¤£

although it didn't look quite so bad the next morning!
