Catching Up - January

I'm writing this on 6th May, Bank Holiday Monday 😒   It's been a busy few months (unfortunately not all in a good way) and I've got very behind with the blog; I wasn't sure whether anyone was actually reading it so it wasn't particularly high up on my list of things to do but I now know that it is being viewed which has given me fresh motivation!  .

I've decided that I'll do monthly summary updates for January through to April and will then resume more regular posts from this month (May).

So here goes with January.........

The first couple of weeks, for me, were taken up with job-hunting and after a number of applications and interviews for positions with different companies I was thrilled to be offered the position of Finance Assistant, 4 days a week, with BATA (Brandsby Agricultural Trading Association www.bataltd.co.uk).  The commute is an hour's drive but no traffic jams and stunning scenery so as long as the weather is not too grim I enjoy the drive!

Mid month we had a light covering of snow but we got away lightly - there was more to come in February!
