Country Living

One of the things I'm enjoying most about living up here is that I'm able to spend much more time with Mum. Today we went over to Harrogate together to visit the Country Living Christmas Fair at the Convention Centre:  3 huge halls full of stands touting everything from blankets to gin, garden furniture to tea cosies. Surprisingly, we didn't spend a great deal - there was too much choice, but we did like the champagne bar!!
We had hoped to find somewhere decent for lunch within the Fair but were sorely disappointed so we ventured out into Harrogate in search of sustenance.  We headed for Betty's but people were queuing out of the door (as usual) so, apart from stopping to take a photo of their window display,
we kept going and found a lovely Italian cafe down a cobbled side street - perfect!  We finished the afternoon off with some High Street Christmas shopping and arrived back at the station to catch a train home just before the heavens opened ☔
